Caring Long Covid doctor

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Symptoms Treated: POTS - Better long time Chronic Fatigue - Better long time
Last appointment: Within the last 6 months

Dr Naomi Whyler is an excellent doctor. She is part of Clinic Nineteen that runs tele-health appointments from Melbourne. They do not offer in person appointments. The doctors at Clinic Nineteen are all specialists so it is possible to get a Medicare rebate for part of the cost of the tele-health appointment. The waiting list for Clinic Nineteen is usually around three to six months which is worthwhile. Dr Whyler has a full book of patients so new patients are more likely to see a different doctor. The reviews for all doctors at Clinic Nineteen are excellent so patients should feel comforted that they are getting the best care. Dr Naomi assesses patients for common comorbidities such as Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Most patients will Long Covid will be prescribed Low Dose Naltrexone which helps to somehwat alleviate fatigue. Clinic Nineteen would be very helpful for the majority of patients and is a good first port of call. Patients who are severe or who have been sick for a long time would be better to seek out a more specialised ME/CFS doctor such as those at the NIIM in Melbourne e.g. Dr Bird or in Sydney Dr Mark Donohoe.
