Acknowledges COVID’s Effects on Hairloss

Chronic Illnesses: Long COVID
Symptoms Treated: Hair Loss - Better long time
Last appointment: Within the last 6 months

Katelyn at Four Seasons Dermatology in Waterbury was very understanding of how COVID (among other diseases) can cause hair loss. I made an appointment to address COVID-induced, non-genetic hair loss, and expected to be dismissed when I brought up the C-word. But Katelyn was very understanding and knowledgeable about how illness can impact hair, skin, and nails, and confirmed my self-diagnosis. She was also very reassuring and prescribed low dose oral minoxidil for what seems to be (hopefully) temporary telogen effluvium and scheduled a follow-up appointment to check if the meds are working.
