Dr. Dominique Salmon is an Infectious and Tropical Diseases Professor at Paris Descartes University in France whose clinical sub-specialties include HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, bone and joint infections, and antimicrobial stewardship. Since 2020, she has been primarily focused on long COVID. Dr. Salmon coordinates an outpatient management platform for patients with prolonged manifestations of long COVID and works in partnership with several research units conducting clinical studies on the pathophysiology of long COVID. She also coordinates the expert group at the French National Authority for Health (HAS) involved in national care recommendations for people diagnosed with long COVID, and has set up a prospective cohort of patients with prolonged forms of COVID.
